I have been a member of the Sandpipers, my school by-audition choir, under the direction of Mr. Marshall Butler, for 3 years. We have performed for many churches, schools and events in Raleigh. Each year we participate in the Meredith Music Festival in the spring. During Dec of 2013, our choir won the WRAL Xmas Music Competition for High School Choirs. In June, 2013 I attended the NCSICA Summer camp at Warren Wilson College. During my freshman and sophomore year I participated in the Community Chorus Project in Chapel Hill. This group met at the UNC School of Music to rehearse, recorded songs at a local studio and then performed on campus and at local spots, including the Cat’s Cradle. I also have performed in 6 musicals and 2 dramas at school and local community theatres. My favorite role was as Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar at the NC Theatre Conservatory last summer, where I have taken musical theatre classes for 6 years. Next month I will be participating at the NATS Classical competition in Winston Salem.
